New edition of the UPC Research Valorisation Award, supported by Fractus

A new call for applications is open for the UPC Research Valorisation Award, organised by the UPC’s Board of Trustees in collaboration with Fractus. The award aims to recognise the work of UPC research groups in several valorisation categories. Applications can be submitted electronically until 10 April.

The 15th UPC Research Valorisation Award, organised by the UPC’s Board of Trustees  in collaboration with Fractus, aims to recognise the work of UPC research groups in several valorisation categories.

Specifically, the award is presented in three categories:

  • Best technology transfer project by contract from UPC research groups.
  • Best invention or work for its market application.
  • Best technology-based company or spin-off.

Each award category is endowed with 5,000 euros. Applications can be submitted electronically.

In the previous edition, which also included the support of Fractus (with 5,000 euros), has recognised 4DPolysense as the best technology transfer project, the  NECADA program as the best invention or work for its application in the market and the Process Talks spin-off as the best technology-based company. The Nimble Diagnostics spin-off has also received a special acknowledgement.
